DDS. Strausz is a dentist specialized in orthodontics with a background in statistics and dental genetics. She is now finalizing her thesis project focusing on obstructive sleep apnea in an epidemiological and genetic setting, which she now studies using large biobank-based cohorts including FinnGen and UK Biobank at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM). She treats orthodontic patients at the Helsinki University Hospital. In addition to clinical work, her future prospects rely on investigating underlying genetics of obstructive sleep apnea more in detail.
