Yadong Li is a postdoc associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He obtained his Ph.D. from Fudan University in 2018, mentored by Dr. Zhi-Li Huang and Wei-Min Qu. His research was focused on the neuronal circuits of sleep-wake regulation. Then, he studied how neural circuits regulate adult hippocampal neurogenesis. Now, his research focuses on how arousal promotes adult hippocampal neurogenesis and later regulates memory and emotional behaviors in the healthy and Alzheimer’s brain.
Yadong has a series of publications in top journals, including NatNeurosci, Mol Psychiatry, Nat Commun, and eLife. He also won the 2020 NARSAD Young Investigator Award from the Brain and Behavior Research Association in the US.
