Dr. Wang is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interest has been centered on the REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), with a specific focus on its association with psychiatric disorders. She has previously investigated the prevalence and clinical correlates of the vPSG-confirmed RBD in depressed patients and conducted the first family study in patients with psychiatric disorders comorbid with RBD (psy-RBD family study). The primary findings from the psy-RBD family study has earned her the Young or New Investigator Award in World Sleep 2019. All together, these findings suggested that psy-RBD is a variant of typical iRBD with underlying neurodegenerative pathology.
