Rui Yan (闫瑞) received her M. Eng. in 2016 at the Dalian University of Technology, China, and the Ph.D. degree in Software and Communications Engineering from the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland, in 2020. From 2021, she has taken the lecturer position in the School of Information Science and Engineering at the Hebei University of Science and Technology at Shijiazhuang in China.

Since 2016, she has worked on sleep analysis for six years, and has published several papers on top journals and international conferences. Her research interests include brain signal processing, sleep analysis, the automatic diagnosis of sleep diseases, pattern recognition in deep learning and machine learning.
